Have you ever heard of Edible Marshmallow Playdough? Well, now you have! And, I will tell you how you and your little ones can make it! It is so easy to make and even better to eat! This is a unique take on regular playdough because you can eat it after you play with it. Nothing like playing with your food, right?! Haha!
This homemade playdough recipe is one of the easier playdough recipes to make. It only has a few ingredients and your kids will LOVE it! So much fun to play with and nibble on too. No cornstarch is needed either! Some edible marshmallow playdough asks for that, but not this one.
My daughter, who is 12 loves, to make slime, so this was just adding something new for her. Now she is a bit obsessed with the edible marshmallow playdough! My youngest is having a lot of fun too, making this delicious playdough too! My kids can be creative, use their hands and just have fun!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups marshmallows (you can use large marshmallows or small marshmallows. We used small.)
- 3 tbsp. coconut oil
- 1 ½ cup powdered sugar
- Sprinkles
- Microwave safe mixing bowl
- Stirring spoon
Directions:
- Place marshmallows into a microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave marshmallows for 40 seconds.
- Stir in coconut oil.
- Mix coconut oil and melted marshmallows well.
- Start by adding a scoop of powdered sugar into the mixture. Stir slowly.
- Continue adding in powdered sugar. Check the consistency of the dough after 1 cup. Add in the remainder ½ cup if the dough feels too sticky.
- Add edible sprinkles.
It’s playtime! It is sticky, so be sure to use the edible marshmallow playdough on parchment paper! This dough is good for one-time use. Dispose of dough when finished (or nibble it up!).
